I saw this Awsome post while on a seartch for grassShaders only I couldt make it work I got a few attempts but is it duable in playcanvas?

The tweet you linked was made with PlayCanvas so it’s definitely doable 
Whether it’s worth the time is up to you and what you are looking to achieve.
You could start by doing hardware instance for non animated grass first to see how that looks for you and whether that would be enough without having to create a vertex shader.
