hi I was wondering if there was a new update to the code editor because I can’t edit any of my code, nothing shows up
Hi @squidgee,
I’m not having any problems with my code editor. There were a few updates in the last few weeks. Is there a particular error that you’re seeing, when trying to edit code? Do you have any browser extensions installed that might block portions of the page?
nope the screens just blank all i see is the name of the script im editing and nothing in i can edit is there another way to edit code?
Could you provide a screenshot of what you’re seeing? Or a screenshot of the devTools console to see if there are any errors on the page?
Clearing your cache might help if there’s something weird saved in there, but it’s a long shot.Otherwise, try a different browser. If nothing works, at least temporarily, you can download your scripts and edit them locally in a text editor and re-upload them while we give the dev team time to take a look.
I know it isn’t ideal, but I’m thinking the problem is not server-side. More than likely there’s a problem on the browser side.
Do you have any errors in the dev console of the browser?
Can you also try in an incognito tab (ie without any extensions running)
whats the dev console?
ok sure ill try that thanks
Hi @squidgee! Your script is working correctly on my side. Press CTRL+SHIFT+J or F12 to open the developers console of your browser.
okay i did but i don’t really understand anything thats showing
Can you post a screenshot of all the errors or copy and paste the errors here please?
Can you show the first error please? Scroll all the way up to the top of the error logs
That’s weird. it’s saying there is an error in the text editor library that we are using.
Can you go to this page and tell us what browser and browser version you are using please? https://supportdetails.com/
okay
Chrome 76.0.3809.136
That’s an old version of Chrome. We are on version 96 now.
Can you update Chrome? Or are you stuck on it because you are on a Chromebook?
im stuck on it because i’m on a chromebook
You are currently on a version of Chrome that is 2 years out of date. There’s little that can be done right now unfortunately besides use a computer that can be updated to a more recent version.
