started update logs:
Alpha 1.8.3
. added realistic skys
.added Batterys and tall grass and removed the cave bug so there will be caves now
Alpha 1.8.4
.added clouds and meadow.
Report here if there’s any issues 
It seems this has to do with the caves settings.
Disable caves or choose world type superflat to avoid this problem.
I disabled the caves until I fix the cave problem so cave buttons will not work anymore so its basically off now.
That sounds like a drastic decision.
Can’t you just fix the error(s)?
