Unable to assign entities

I’m having an issue assigning entities to different objects. At first, I thought it was caused by one of my scripts interfering with assigning a camera to a billboard.

However, I just realized I also can’t assign sprites or any other entities. This started today. To rule out any issues with my project or scripts, I created a brand-new project from scratch. I added a simple sprite, but I still can’t assign an image to it.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I spent the entire morning trying to figure out what I had changed that broke everything.
