UI Inverted mask

I would like to know if its possible to create some “inverted” mask, where you can cutoff the masked area from a background?

Excample:

In the screenshot you can see a transparent background (red) which is filling the complete screen (streched) - now the ui mask (white box in the center) should cutout its shape through the red area, so i can see through.

It would give me more control over the size of this box on differend resolutions if this would be possilbe.

Found a very promising Project:

UI Element stencil

Well I managed to do it using stencil buffer and custom shader chunk that discards the invisible background around the text mesh.
