Ugly sound cut-off on looped sound

I have a looped sound on an entity and whenever I disable the entity the sound cuts off with an audible crackle. Even if I set the volume level on the slot to zero before disabling the entity it still cuts the sound with a crackle. Any nice easy ways to avoid it?

I thought about moving the sound to the slot on a different entity but then you don’t get positional sound.

The project I am working on is HTC vive only, do you have a vive. If not I can create a project to demonstrate the issue.

no it happens wherever i do it but it’s more pronounced when you are wearing headphones on the vive.

i would expect the sound to go dead on a disabled entity but it doesn’t sound like it cutting cleanly.

It sounds like it might be related to the audio file itself. If you go here: https://playcanvas.com/api/assets/4829458/file/drone.wav you can listen to the sound (this is just the browser loading an asset so nothing playcanvas related). Here try to pause and resume the sound you will hear the click too. At least I hear it on my Mac. Perhaps you could try to encode it as MP3 and see if it makes a difference?
