Tone mapping and influence on color

Hi Everyone
Does Tone mapping have any influence on color?

Finding my textures are a little off from expected.

I have the light map completely desaturated in this room but the map and the applied version of it are different. Seems linear warms things up a little bit…

It has an influence on how the scene looks. I can’t remember the technical details, I think it applies a colour map to the scene.
