A car game I never finished, but truly enjoyed working on. What excited me most was generating roads that weren’t just straight but had curves going left, right, up, and down. I mostly achieved that, though I struggled with occasional FPS drops that I couldn’t quite solve. Revisiting the project today made me wonder if I should finally finish it:). For now, avoiding obstacles on the road seems almost impossible, as I had placed them randomly back then. I hope it will be an interesting game for you!"
Nice! I like it, but the first level feels too difficult. One thing that kept getting me is the car kept wanting to turn on its own, like some sort of auto correction, and it kept messing me up unexpectedly. Wish it would turn only when I make it turn.
Yes, that’s right, the car control wasn’t good yet, automatic corrections were causing problems. Actually, this wasn’t Level 1 or even a level, it was just a test with all the obstacles on the road:). I made the game in 2022, maybe one day I’ll work on it again. My main goal was to make a road that regenerates forever, that happened, but sometimes the fps would drop when road parts or obstacles were created. Anyway, I’m glad you liked it
Actually, it was the opposite; I remember there were more problems when I deleted. In fact, new pieces were not constantly created as the road formed. I think only 10 pieces in different variations were being added and connected. I believe I did something similar with the obstacles, I was hiding them instead of deleting. So, I think the problem was more related to how the road was forming, because the same issue occurred in the version without obstacles as well.
