Hi all,
We’ve just shipped an update to SuperSplat, and this time most of the work went into superspl.at itself. You can now follow creators and get notifications when people respond to your work, the home page and search have been redesigned, and the viewer’s XR mode got a big upgrade: step into a scene in VR or AR and grab it with both hands.
Follow creators
- Follow anyone from their profile, from one of their scenes or from the profile card that pops up when you hover over a name in the comments
- Their new splats show up in a new Following tab on the home page
- Your follower count shows on your profile, so if you publish splats, it’s the easiest way to grow your audience
Notifications
- A bell in the top bar shows new comments, likes and followers on your splats, and clicking a comment takes you straight to it
- Comments now arrive bundled in one email, and likes and followers are rolled into a daily summary
- Choose what you hear about in your notification settings
Next on our list: notifications for new splats from the creators you follow, if you want them.
A new home page and search
- A Spotlight row at the top collects walkable worlds, free downloads, the best of the week, the all-time greats and our latest news
- Below it, the feed is split into Trending, Latest and Following tabs
- The new search page puts the filters out in the open: Walkable, Downloadable, a time period from the past day to all time, and sorting by views, likes, date or size
Enhanced XR mode
This is live now on every scene on SuperSplat, including the ones embedded on other sites.
- Two-handed manipulation: squeeze both grips (or make fists with tracked hands) to drag, turn and scale the whole scene, from a quarter of its size to 4x bigger. When you leave the session, the scene returns to where its creator placed it
- Faster on Quest: up to 1M splats, fixed foveation and a 72 Hz target. A large streamed scene on a Quest 3 went from 9.7 fps to 30.7 fps, or 40.3 fps with Quality set to Performance
- AR shows your room: the sky is hidden in AR, so the scene sits in passthrough
- Sessions start facing the same way as the camera
- Post effects and tone mapping carry into XR
- Detail is picked by distance alone in XR, so glancing over your shoulder doesn’t reveal low-detail splats
- Apple Vision Pro runs XR directly on WebGPU in Safari
Quest users: SuperSplat renders with WebGPU by default, and XR on Quest currently needs WebGL. The first time you tap VR, the viewer will offer to reload with WebGL. Press OK, then tap VR again.
And more
- Splat counts on every scene page
- A timeline in Studio (press
T) - Big uploads just work: uploads that take longer than 20 minutes no longer fail,
.spzand XGRIDS LCC2 files can be uploaded, and scenes over 40M splats get LODs automatically - SplatTransform has a new
--camera-trackoption that renders a camera animation from your SuperSplat project to image frames, with depth of field and motion blur (rendering guide)

To chat with the team `and the wider 3DGS community, we’re on Discord:
Give it a spin, follow a few creators and tell us who should be at the top of everyone’s list. And if you try the new XR mode on a headset, we’d love to hear how it runs. Reply here!
