SSL Warnings for playcanvas domain

Hi,

For the past week I have been getting the following SSL warnings in Chrome (Version 63.0.3239.108) for my Playcanvas builds:

  1. The SSL certificate used to load resources from https://launch.playcanvas.com will be distrusted in M70. Once distrusted, users will be prevented from loading these resources.   2. The SSL certificate used to load resources from https://msg.playcanvas.com will be distrusted in M70. Once distrusted, users will be prevented from loading these resources.   3. The SSL certificate used to load resources from https://code.playcanvas.com will be distrusted in M70. Once distrusted, users will be prevented from loading these resources.   4. The SSL certificate used to load resources from https://playcanvas.com will be distrusted in M70. Once distrusted, users will be prevented from loading these resources. Kindly let me know how to fix this issue.

You will be fine in the short term as Google is only planning to enforce the ‘distrust’ in Chrome 66. From what I read, PlayCanvas needs to get new certs.

Has Playcanvas updated the certs yet? I need to be assured of the status on this, since we have to make some major deployment decisions…Request a response please.

We will update the certificates in the coming weeks. Note that the error message says the certificates will be distrusted with the arrival of M70. According to the Chrome release schedule, M70 arrives Oct 16th, 2018 (Oct 23rd for Chrome OS). In other words, we have a little over 10 months to renew our certificates. So there’s really nothing to worry about.
