[Solved - user error] Mesh Collision - inside a tube

I’m having trouble with my ship (using a dynamic capsule collision) ‘falling out’ of my static mesh tube race course.

The mesh is way finer than the capsule, and is made from evenly sized quads, split into triangles. Once the model spins around a bit (haven’t dealt much with forces) it falls out of the collision mesh.

Any clues, ways to troubleshoot? Thanks!
