would be great to get some feedback from the devs - such a long downtime is quite troubling

Looks down to me.

In the meantime, you can find the tutorial projects under the org account here https://playcanvas.com/playcanvas (no search capability though so it can take a while).

API docs are in the comments of the engine source which can be found here https://github.com/playcanvas/engine

The user manual and longer tutorials markdown can be found here.

Not ideal but hopefully help if you really need the docs.
