Hi!
I’m finally getting around to testing out SOGS again in PlayCanvas and I know support was added to the engine, and I believe the editor was updated to match that engine version. Is there any documentation on how to set up SOGS loading logic in editor? I recall seeing an example project about a month ago but I can’t find it now.
For reference, I’m converting my .ply to SOGS using the PlayCanvas Python Conversion Code. I have a 1m,2m and 3m version of the .ply to test with.
Any further guidance would be very much appreciated!
Thank you,
Jamie.
Hi @Jamie_SpaceForm ,
Two demos using sog:

For conversion I’d suggest switching to GitHub - playcanvas/splat-transform: CLI tool for 3D Gaussian splat format conversion and transformation for best results (accessible via npm).
We are hoping to finally add 1st class support for sog (v2 format) in the editor within the next week or two.
Thanks!

Thank you! I will give this a go now
Curious thing to note - If I give the CLI tool the postshot output .ply to convert into SOGS, it gives a segmentation fault error. But if I put that same .ply into supersplat and export it as a new .ply, it co-operates with the CLI tool.
Oh interesting. Any chance you can give me the failing PLY?
Hey, apologies for the late response! I can, is there anywhere I can share that privately? I don’t want to post client files publicly. I have a couple other questions but would need to show you footage/files first!
Do you have google drive you could place the files and message me the url?
