Setting to use existing materials and textures on FBX import

I have many different FBX’s, each of them have the same material/texture. Is there a way to import them without playcanvas automatically creating duplicate material and texture assets? I’ve already tried adjusting the model import settings for the project but this didn’t work.

Hmm, good point, @yaustar is there any way to import the mesh only and not the included materials?

Even if the texture is not embedded in the FBX, playcanvas will aways create new materials for each model with the same name. Ideally I would like to have only one material/texture in the project and have all the models reference it automatically. Or, at bare minimum not have to constantly be deleting duplicate assets on import.
