Put a door on a wall without messing up textures

I have a scene and would like to add a door to this


wall, but the textures always warp and look funny when I try to use 3 walls (one on each side of the door and one on the top) instead of 1. Is there a way to delete just the part of the wall where the door goes through?

You could create a custom model in a program like Blender, similar to the example below. (I’m not entirely sure how this affects the texture, to be honest).

Another option is to place a purely visual door in front of the wall. In that case, you’ll need some scripting to make the door functional as well.
