Playcanvas and screen readers?

Hey guys,

Before I dive too deep into the subject, do playcanvas have any support for screen readers?

Just wondering what amount of work could be needed to add that to a project Im’ working on.

Hi @memleak,

So, a Playcanvas application is a regular HTML webpage with the main element being a canvas element. A canvas is an array where all 2D/3D content is being rendered on, that being said this element can’t be usually parsed by most screen readers.

But you can use for your UI (text, buttons etc.) regular HTML/CSS on top of Playcanvas, that is supported quite ok. That part of your Playcanvas app will be parsed by any screen reader.
