Issue: Path Audit fix does not persist after page refresh

Every time I open a scene in one of my projects in the Editor, the audit indicator shows “21 audits found”. When I click the yellow warning in the Console, a dialog appears stating that 21 assets have paths containing duplicate folder IDs, and that these can be fixed automatically.

I click “Fix Issues”, the fix is applied, the affected assets are listed in the Console (“asset path was deduped from […] to […]”), and the audit warning disappears.

However, after a simple browser page refresh, the exact same 21 assets are flagged again with the same duplicate path IDs — as if the fix was never applied.

Is this as intended or is there a problem with these assets?

Best regards

Could you add me to your project to take a look? username: kpal

Thanks!

Hi KPal, thanks for looking into this!

Before giving access to my project, I’d like to share a screenshot showing that nearly the same asset IDs seem to be affected in every row when the fix is applied. Maybe that helps to narrow things down without needing direct access to my B2B project.

As an alternative, I could try copying the affected assets into a blank project and see if the same audit warning appears there, though I suspect this issue is specific to this particular project, as none of my other projects, that I tested so far, show this behavior.

Let me know if the screenshot is sufficient or if you need more information.

Hi jro

Thank you for providing the screenshot. Ive been doing some testing and i can repro the issue so access to your project is no longer required. I will let you know once I have a patch released to resolve this for you

Kind regards

KPal

Hi jro

This patch is now live. Please apply the audit fix again - this should be persistent now and not reshow on refresh.

Kind regards

KPal

Hi KPal,

that was incredibly fast, thank you.

The fix works perfectly, and the audit warning no longer reappears after a page refresh.

Really appreciate the support.

Kind regards,
JR
