Passthrough portal inside VR

Hello everyone! I am trying to decide if Playcanvas is suitable for my next XR project and one of my main requirements is to have an HDR 360 image with a passthrough portal in front of me “showing the real world through a hole in the HDR image”. This is something I will use to allow the user to view the real keyboard from inside the application. I didn’t find any example out there showing something similar, is this possible with Playcanvas? Can someone point me to the right direction to achieve this?

You’d need to customize some shaders … lets say skydome rendering, to have a hole in it or whichever way you want to do this portal.

So all depends on - are you handy with shaders?
