Nintendo Switch port

What if we contacted Nintendo saying we’re developers that want to work for Nintendo systems, and ask if we can work on GB, GBC, GBA, N64, all DS model’s, and more and we could code exploits to do whatever and test whatever. Heck, with the Switch two coming out, maybe we could code exploits for the Switch one. Then it doesn’t matter what the browser supports, we could code an app. I mean, people did it with Homebrew applications. Only, they used a thing called faketiks, which where what they sound like.

P.S. “Tiks” are what the DS use to read the game/app.
P.P.S. Don’t ask how I know about all this.

Not sure what you are suggesting here? Nintendo don’t want homebrew on their devices. If you are talking about purposely making a game with an exploit, that’s not recommended for a variety of reasons.

Contact nintendo for what purpose? I genuinely have no idea what we would be contacting nintendo about. As if we need permission to make games for a 36 year old system. Also, you include the n64 in your list of handhelds.

You want to ask them if we can “code exploits” to run playcanvas games on the game boy? I am not even going to bother explaining why that will not work. I If you want to make a gb/gbc game just use GB Studio, no “exploit coding” required, whatever that means. Also, saying we can “code exploits” is irrelevant, every system you listed is flat out impossible to use with any playcanvas game. “Exploits” are not going to magically make the physical hardware inside of them able to run html5.

The release of switch 2 is completely irrelevant here. Since the switch was released it was able to be exploited immediately. Are you suggesting we are required to wait for the next console to start finding exploits? As if we will be arrested by nintendo for finding a bug in a current game console and need to wait for the next one.

So you claim that exploits can be coded for the switch, and that somehow means we can port an entirely new browser with html5 and webgl support into the ds just to play playcanvas games designed to run on hardware from 20 years later? What a brilliant idea, you get right on that and start coding right away. I hear all the millions of current ds users are begging to play playcanvas games on their ds.

And?

What is “all of this” in this context?

I just noticed that you actually suggested posting “it” (you never explained what “it” is) on youtube then sending fake followers to make it popular. Abysmal behavior.

Well, for the contacting Nintendo, I wanted to make it not illegal. I included the n64 because I loved that console. Not to mention I was not sober when I said this, so the “coding exploits” is laughable. We could code an app on the ds, that’s the most reasonable-almost thing I said. And “All this” meant about modding because IT IS ILLEGAL, AND I CAN’T EVEN POST AN “Illegal” WEBSITE THAT ALLOWS YOU TO DOWNLOAD YT VIDEOS, WHICH ISN’T TECHNICALY ILLEGAL. AND “it” WAS OUR APP WE HAVEN’T EVEN MADE YET. DON’T KNOW WHY I’M PUTTING THIS ALL UPPERCASE. IT’S JUST FOR FUN NOW.

Are you sure you were sober when you wrote this one?

Modding consoles is not a crime, at least I dont know of anywhere where it is. People have been doing things like putting better cpus in the original xbox for a while. Plus ive heard that hardware specification protection expires after 20 years, which is why there were so many famiclones back around 2003 and beyond (personally I had the disney plug and play one as a child).

What is even your motivation anyway? The original topic was about porting a playcanvas game to switch, and that was shot down basically immediately. Now you are talking about the game boy and the ds and some other stuff and I am completely lost. I suggest making a new topic because we are just barreling down to meaningless now.
