Need help with adding a GIF to the loading screen

Hey guys, I’m working on a custom splash screen and I’ve managed to change the color and add a custom graphic. Now I’m looking to add a GIF of some gears (Mechanics gears on Lottiefiles. Free Lottie Animation) to the loading screen. I have 2 questions:

  1. Is it possible/how do I do it?
  2. Will it make the loading screen significantly heavier on low end mobile devices?

If it’s a regular .gif image file then you can just to use it as it is in any image element. It will automatically show and loop.

GIFs with high resolution and multiple frames can have significant file sizes, but smaller animations like the one you referenced above should be fine.
