Lightmapping not working

I have a light set to Bake Lightmap=True and Bake Direction=True.
My mesh is Lightmapped = True (Its has a uv1).
I hit bake lightmaps or set to auto bake lightmaps but the mesh does not get visibly lit. Why not? I had this working yesterday and I dont remember doing anything different.

If I switch the Bake Lightmap checkbox off in the light the mesh gets lit dynamically. But why don’t bakes do anything?

Does it work with a cube / plane primitive with the same settings?
(meaning is the problem with your mesh)

With a cube sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. See the video. The box ‘should’ be brightly light green after the calculation as the green light if quite close.

As soon as I rotate the cube it works. Then when I rotate again it stops working.

…I tried rotating my mesh (the floor) to test but no matter how I rotate it the lightmapping doesn’t affect it. :frowning:

My floor mesh (not affected by lights) is very simple although it does not have backfaces…
