Light Gizmos not showing on anything but Standard

Hi,

I’m currently noticing that when selecting anything but Standard, e.g. Albedo, in the scene editor, Light Gizmos are no longer showing or being updated. See gif:

Not seeing the light makes sense. But being able to see the gizmo is quite handy, especially when working in a scene without ambient lighting.

Is this intended?

It’s definitely not intended.
I’ve tested with the Engine v2 Editor support we’re working on, and that works there, so good news I guess, the refactoring I’ve done fixed it. Stay tuned.

Not sure If this belongs in a seperate post. But I noticed two minor things ‘related’ to this.

When in Albedo mode for example, changing the perspective ‘switches’ to standard mode.

And, when in Albedo mode for example, the gizmos for lights/particles seem to get a random texture instead of the editor default: image vs:
