Large City Model Lighting

Hi all,

My project is PlayCanvas | HTML5 Game Engine.

I am having troubles lighting the large city model. How do I go about it?

There’s no light in the scene?

Adding a directional light looks fine: https://playcanvas.com/editor/scene/737673

There’s no light since I tried adding a spot light but it didn’t work, so I deleted it. Thanks for replying, I’ll use a directional light.

A spot light has a radius of effect that can be modified. That’s probably why it didn’t work as your model is quite large.

I’ll remember that. Also, mesh colliders are falling right through - https://playcanvas.com/editor/scene/738294. I don’t quite get why it’s not working. Can you please help out?

You can’t do mesh to mesh collision with Ammo.js. Change the car to be a box and you should be fine.

Then how do I go about exactly giving a collision shape to my city and car? If I change it to a box, the camera goes crazy. I just undid it. My restitution was 0.013 on both.

Change the car collision to be a box and you should be fine.

Please refer to the edited post.

Works fine in my test scene: https://playcanvas.com/editor/scene/737673

Created a box with a box collision.

I don’t know why it didn’t work. Thanks for the workaround.
