iOS17 background render issue

when rendering happen in backgroud or not the current screen, it failed on iOS17,is there anyone meet the problem??@will @mvaligursky

which prefiltered data are u using? dds?

If u are using the old dds, you need to delete it and recreate it again.

What cause Webgl Context Lost?

The context is typically lost when the device goes to sleep and similar, and in most cases that recovers fine. If you use the prefiltered cubemap for lighting, we have an issue with recovering it, and you should switch to a new type, which uses a 2D texture, which does not have this problem. In the cubemap prefiltering dialog, delete the data first, and prefilter again, just don’t click on the "Generate legacy cubemap’. [Screenshot 2023-09-07 at 14.05.01]

Then you should follow the suggestion I linked, to switch to envLighting png instead of dds.
