I'm a complete beginner, and I'd like to make a simple game

Hi there,

I’m a complete beginner, I know a bit of python, HTML5, and bit of javascript, though I’ve never coded a game.
I would like to learn how to make a basic game, similar to the one shown in the My First Demo project.
I figure I need to learn how to do things like add a new level once the ball reaches the teleporter.

Please give me tips of where to start. Especially for games that can be played in VR.

If you have a publicly available project you have created, please link to it. I would love to look under the hood and see what the code looks like.
