Tell me, how to make 3D models smaller?
Once you have selected the model, you can change the scale of the model at the top right of the editor.
Why is the z value 4.305
I used an image from the web, but I suspect the user wanted the entity in a certain position and needed that value.
Nasty.
What is nasty exactly?
I think it would be better if you tried to help rather than deflect the topic.
I just dont like weird numbers like that. It triggers my schizophrenia. But sure I can try to help.
Do you mean smaller in terms of file size or in terms of a physical game entity? If you mean file size then try exporting the model as a .obj and open the object in a text editor and remove all the decimal places that you think you dont need. Depending on the model you will save a couple kb by removing absurd useless floating points. Considering Playcanvas uses 1 meter as a unit size, and dimensions are accurate to the millimeter, you can safely remove every number after the 3rd decimal place and it should work basically the exact same, assuming you arent going to make the model have a physical size greater than 1.
A post was split to a new topic: Adding a model to the scene makes it look really small
