Guassian Splats from scaniverse render glitch

When I bring in a splat from scaniverse I get z sorting issues, you will notice when you rotate cam(i apologise for the splat of dirty laundry but its the one that really showed the issue!)-

https://playcanvas.com/project/1273896/overview/splat-test

When you rotate the cam it flickers. This is because scaniverse makes a big sphere of splats very far away from cam, I can crop this out in supersplat and it fixes the issue. I dont want to have to do this as a manual process or using external tools, I want to fix this problem in playcanvas

-Are there render settings that could fix this issue? i thought adjusting clipping planes on the camera might fix it but it doesnt seem to.
-Is there a way to adjust/cull the point cloud at runtime? looking through the api reference i dont think its possible but i could be wrong.

I realised it might be hard to see my problem so i made a video here-

Hi @peej ,

Sorry for my very slow response to your issue. We know about the sort flickering and will be addressing it as best we can within the next few days.

It would be quite easy to support a “maximum sorting distance”, but I’m not sure how we’d surface that the user.

Thanks for logging this issue and again, sorry it’s taken so long to get a reply.

Great thanks Slimbuck!

From a users perspective - I feel like there could be a whole bunch more options on the gsplatcomponent, it feels a bit bare at the moment. One of the things i did try to adjust was customAabb but it didnt seem to do anything.
