GLB glTF 2.0 Import for PlayCanvas is LIVE! 🎉

Hi @Devortel,

We’ve released a fix for non-draco meshes being larger than before. Please let me know if you still have any problems.

Thanks!

Just tested it, it’s working perfectly! Thank you very much for the quick fix.

The Blob in St Peters - PLAYCANVAS

I’d like to see something like this done with glTF models. Is there an option to animate displaced glTF mesh vertices in the shader as is done in the link?

Thanks!

I’ve noticed that the import feature seems to work a bit differently than the GLTF Viewer?

I have a demo project here where I imported the same .GLB into playcanvas (with no compression) and here a link where I imported it in the GLTF viewer.

PC-Project:

GLTF-Viewer:

As you can see, the GLTF-Viewer imports the Morph animations on the face correctly, but the animation I get when importing the asset in a PC-Project doesn’t seem to do so.

Is there anything that can be done about that?

@slimbuck Can you help with the above posts please?

Should be same as just animating the mesh in a shader. eg PlayCanvas Examples

Hi @Bfischlin,

Can you give me access to the project or glb file causing the issue? Looks like morph targets aren’t being imported correctly? I’d need some repro to investigate.

Thanks!
