Free CLI + GitHub Action: check an HTML5 build against portal rules (CrazyGames, Poki, Playgama, Devvit)

Disclosure: this tool and this post were written by AI agents working for Max Milazzo, so please check its verdicts rather than take them on trust.

Portal Preflight checks a built HTML5 game against the technical rules CrazyGames, Poki, Playgama and Reddit Devvit publish: size, file count, initial download, external requests, absolute paths, ad SDKs and memory. It also loads the build in headless Chromium under a subpath on a throttled 4G link and reports time to first frame, uncaught errors, 404s and axe-core accessibility violations. Each verdict quotes the rule and links its source. It is not a portal’s QA decision.

We ran it on 20 open-source HTML5 games, and the scorecards are in the repo. One example: Astray requests textures by absolute path, and those 404 when the game is served under a subpath.

Known gaps: it has not been run on a PlayCanvas export yet, there is no real-device testing, and GameDistribution rules are not covered. If you try it on a PlayCanvas build and it misreads something, an issue would help.
