Editor v2.35 is out.
The headline is the new Project Dashboard. playcanvas.com/editor is now a standalone page, and it brings the project management from the playcanvas.com projects page into the Editor: search with filters, tabs, stars, card and list views, a project menu with fork, export and transfer, Project settings with Dev log and Team, and organizations.
Also in this release:
- MCP from the Project Dashboard - connect an agent before any project is open; the MCP server gains project tools to list, create, update and open projects, and the connection survives the reload into a project.
- Empty Project - a new kit with nothing in it, next to Blank Project.
- Plus lightmaps that re-bake after moves, undo and deletes, Alpha Test and Opacity shown whenever alpha test applies, and a code editor that loads an ESM script’s whole import chain.
Caveats: the project tools need an Editor MCP server release that includes them, the viewport Home button now opens the dashboard tab, and dev log comments aren’t in yet.
