Editor Error: WebSocket 403

When logging in to the editor, I’m getting “Error during WebSocket handshake: Unexpected response code: 403”. I am assuming that’s the same 403 forbidden as a normal http request. This is preventing the editor from sensing new scripts to be added to script modules, and exporting the project just spins the “preparing build” bar into perpetuity.

What is the usual cause of a websocket 403 in regards to PlayCanvas? Is it possible to use a fallback if I can’t get them to work?

Thank you for your time.

Hello,

Can you share a link to your project? If it’s private can you add vaios so I can have a look?

When exactly are you getting this error? Just when you load the Editor or when you do an action? And can you please send a screenshot of your browser console so I can see the errors in more detail?

Hi Vaios,

The error appears to be on our end. I’ll investigate further with our network folks. Thank you for the quick response, I’ll let you know if there’s anything else.

I got similar errors this morning. I was working with the editor and testing in debug mode. Sometime, not always, I got this error in the console.

It’s not a blocker, if I refresh 1 or 2 times, the error go away and I can test. It is just annoying…
