Do any of you Pros know how to make the element opacity work for all angles?

There are some solutions to order independent transparency, but those are pretty complex and expensive in general, especially for the case you have there.

Perhaps you could try using additive alpha blending, as that does not have this issue - but you’d end up with a different look.
