Can't get a build to work on GitHub Pages

I’m trying to run an unaltered default empty project

at

https://kaliibii.github.io/

With an upgraded PlayCanvas account, I downloaded a Web Download build and uploaded the files as-is to the repository

whose index.html file is supposed to run like a normal index.html file at https://kaliibii.github.io.

The PlayCanvas folks have playcanvas going on their GitHub Pages account, so I know it’s possible.

So what might I be doing wrong?

I wonder if it’s due to the leading/prefixed underscores to the JS scripts? Trying removing them from the filenames and update the index.html.
