Hi,
i am having an issue when enabling light maps on a mesh to use light map files from external apps which results in rendering the mesh black. If this happens it will stay black forever. Only a reimport of the mesh and a new material solves the issue.
Steps to reproduce:
have a mesh with a second UV set.
enable light maps on the mesh
drag your light map into the light map slot
object looks fine now.
try to switch the light map file to another one β object goes black
or click the rebake button in the editor (which of course makes no sense) β object goes black.
Is this a known issue? Is there a way to solve the issue or a quick workarround?
I have a test project here if somebody wants to look into it.
