Best Way to Optimize Skeletal Animation Tracks

Hey all,

Has anyone figured out a way to reduce the file size of the animation tracks that are piped in from GLB’s? I am assuming that most of the size comes from the number of keys that are in the animation so do you guys know of any tools or methods to reduce similar keys? Let me know if anyone has any thoughts on this. I’m exporting FBX’s out of Maya if that matters, but I am pretty competent in Blender as well. Thanks in advance.

Reduce the number of keyframes and/or reduce the number of bones being animated.

If you are using a small number of keyframes already, change the Sample rate in Animation Import Settings to be disabled:
