What would be the best way to make a car selection

I was thinking of using an element with buttons on the side of the screen to make it where it will turn off two entities and turn two on but I am new to coding and want feedback on what the people who know what they are doing?

I think you can make a menu with a bunch of cars to choose and what one you pick then you are that car.
