Smart Glasses

Hi, what are my options when wanting to convert an existing Playcanvas project to run in Smart Glasses?
Thanks

Depends on what the Smart Glasses support

Are there any that support Playcanvas? Am I right in saying that I just need any device that supports WebXR and them presumably I just connect with the glasses via their in built browser?

You can even test your XR with https://developers.meta.com/horizon/blog/webxr-development-immersive-web-emulator/

If the Smart Glasses support WebXR, then yes, you can run your PlayCanvas project through their built-in browser. Testing with the WebXR emulator linked by the PlayCanvas team is a great way to ensure compatibility before deploying.

Theoretical yes

You need to at the very least add XR support to your existing PlayCanvas application, it’s not automatic.

Thanks. Presumably everything then as described here: https://developer.playcanvas.com/user-manual/xr/

Or use one of the various templates/example projects

Thanks, I just tried the XR starter kit demo on my Android but without changing anything in the project the default cube model appears directly below my viewpoint when I tap the screen (I have to tilt my phone down to see it, I never see the positioning circle, the demo video shows the player dragging the circle to position).
Is this because my Android (Google Pixel) doesn’t support surface detection or some other reason. Thanks

Move your phone around a bit to ‘scan’ the floor until the circle appears on the floor and then tap screen to place
