I am hoping to remove the “PlayCanvas green” background before my loading screen. It only appears for a second or two, but it would be nice to make our loading process smoother visually.

Sadly that isn’t possible at the moment when hosting your builds in PlayCanvas. You will have to selfhost and change the color of the main html element to match your loading screen color.
I remember there was discussion on this issue to expose it in editor for PlayCanvas hosted builds, though I can’t seem to find the github issue currently.
I have also noticed this glitch and it is indeed not very smooth. I hope this gets optimized.
I brought this up on Discord last week. Maybe that’s what you mean?
