Here are a bunch of new free music tracks (and sound effects) to kick off 2020:
On my Fantasy 10 page:
DREAMSCAPE (Looping)
OF LEGENDS AND FABLES 2
BUSTLING VILLAGE (Looping)
On my Sci-Fi 8 page:
SO LONG 2019 (Looping)
CYBERPUNK ACTION (Looping)
On my Puzzle music 5 page:
CANDY CATCHER (Looping)
On my City/Urban 2 page:
FUNKY STREETS (Looping)
On my sports page:
EXTREME SPORTS MAYHEM (Standard and looping)
I’ve also created a bunch of new UI sounds. They are here:
SFX – UI
Don’t forget my Ogg files…they sound great (almost as good as WAV files, but are much smaller in size) and are a cool way to support my work and my site.
I finally reached 2000 tracks last week…woo hoo! Not too bad considering I started the site with 100 tracks.
Anyhow, I’m a bit under the weather this week…(back probs…ugh)…but I did manage to create a few new music tracks for everyone…free to use with attribution:
On my Fantasy 10 page:
FARAWAY WORLDS CALLING – (Looping) – Ready to go?
On my Chiptunes 3 page:
ARCADE GOBLINS – (Looping) – Running around Pixeltown, causing chaos. I’d love to hear this in a 2D arcade-style game. Fun stuff!
And on my Nature / Science 3 page:
EXPEDITION NORTH – (Looping) – Embarking for the frozen wilderness. This track might sound nice under the title screens of an adventure game.
In case you’re wondering, attribution information is here:
If you happen to use some of my assets in your projects, please feel free to share (if you wish.) I love to see how creative people are using my work!
Happy February! I hope everyone had a good weekend.
Here are this week’s new free music tracks:
On my Fantasy 10 page:
BEYOND THE VALLEY OF DREAMS – (Looping)
On my Funny 7 page:
SUPER SPLASH – (Looping)
On my Puzzle Music 5 page:
PUZZLE MADNESS – (Looping)
BRAIN TEASER 2 – (Looping)
And on my Sci-Fi 8 page:
DEEP SPACE OUTPOST – (Looping)
CYBER CITY DETECTIVES – (Looping)
In other news, we’re using social media to share my free “Dune’s Island” films with the world. This is a huge challenge as it was a community project and our advertising budget is $0. Here’s a link to the films…please feel free to help us share them with homeschoolers, educators and anyone else who might find them helpful. Thanks!
Yes, I do, BUT…converting my compressed MP3 files into Ogg files won’t increase their quality. The Ogg files that I’m offering are derived from my original (uncompressed) WAV recordings, therefore they sound incredible…almost as good as the original WAV files but much much smaller in size and perfect for game developers.
That’s cool…and the MP3 tracks on my site do sound very good. This is because the synthesizers I use are all dedicated, top-of-the-line instruments. But the original WAV recordings sound incredible compared to the MP3s…and the Ogg tracks derived from the WAVs sound nearly as good…almost indistinguishable from the WAV files. There really is a difference.
Big news, guys! All of my tracks on my Dark/Ominous page are now available as very high quality Ogg files. They sound amazing…almost as good as the original WAV files that they were created from…and are much much smaller in size…perfect for videogames. Give them a try.
On that note, some people have asked me why I’m offering Ogg files when they can simply convert my free MP3 tracks to Ogg themselves. You are certainly welcome to do this, but it won’t increase the quality of the tracks at all because you’re starting with MP3. The reason my Ogg files sound so great is that I’m creating them from my original WAV recordings.
Hey, I’m looking for new tracks to add to my game, PolyBrawl. I already used a few back a few months ago. I was wondering whether you had music that adds tension, if you get what I’m saying. Like, a scene where you or the opponent is at 1 health. The music should play then. Do you have a good soundtrack that fits these categories. Also, I want it to be something that can fir right after this:
You have a good song, or would you have to make it? If you could make it, thank you.
I create custom work for developers all the time. Send me an email with some details. My email address is on the “Custom Work” page lon my website.
In the meantime…
If you guys have kids (or know someone who does) I’ve created a website for my free video learning series, “Dune’s Island.” You can access all of the episodes and support documentaries as well as tie-in curriculum written by a team of science teachers.
I’ll be expanding it with all kinds of cool activities and more fun documentaries, but I think it’s a good start.
I hope the site is helpful. Please feel free to share it with anyone who might find it helpful…and encourage them to share it as well.
Hi there @EricMatyas. Remember me? I’ve used your music for a game of mine, and as always, it’s stellar. Today, since it was my return to a coding series I left 2 months ago, I decided to use a piano piece from your site, https://www.soundimage.org. Is this ok? I credited you in the video at the end, and in the description.
Great to hear from you…and yes, I’m glad one of my tracks was helpful. Thanks for properly attributing me, too. If you can, please consider making a small donation to support my work and my site. The synthesizers I use to create free music for everyone are very expensive…so expensive in fact that I make monthly payments on them. Donations from the creative community really help me a lot to pay for them. Thanks in advance!
