[FIXED] Internal server error / unable to fork projects

Good morning

I’m encountering some issues during the import of textures and glb, it gives a “internal server error”. Also, i cannot fork any scene: “Error: Could not fork project”

Hello everyone, facing the exact same issue.
Also unable to import previously exported projects:

Update: i cannot fork just 1 project for some reason.
Regarding “Internal server error”: creating a new project and importing a glb works well. When i reimport the glb to replace it, it triggers the error

On my side, I can’t fork any older projects. Even the newest one, created on August 6th, can’t be forked. However, newly created blank projects can be forked without any problems.

Reproducing: try forking or export/import on this one:

Hi, I’m having the same issue when trying to import a project and when trying to fork an existing one.

Creating a new blank project works, and I can fork the blank project, but importing previously exported projects fails with “Could not import project”, and forking existing projects fails with “Could not fork project”.

Thank you for the report, guys. The team is working on solving this.

Confirmed fixed

Hi @KPal

Thanks, most of the issues seem to be solved, however i still have issues when i fork some scenes: the forked scene has a weird illumination compared to the original one. it seems to be related only to the gamma/color space of the cubemap (When i remove the cubemap from both the twin scenes and i add an omni light they look same). It shows as you can see some weird color artifacts and over exposure (right one is the forked scene). Also, removing, uploading and recreating the cubemap doesn’t work, it shows the same issue

Sorry, issue still present for some projects :frowning: Unable to fork / import.

@KPal added you to the private project to reproduce (project id: 1492701 )

Already on it - Ill update progress here

Taking a look at this one too

Found a workaround for the bug. It “resets” the correct lighting by replacing any of the square texture of the cubemap

Fixed for you - was a missing field in your project. Testing forking and it works

Hi could you add me to your project so I can take a look? username: kpal

Hi,

I’m having the same issue with a private company project.
Some of our smaller projects can be forked normally, but one of our larger projects fails with:
“Error: Could not fork project”
I also exported the affected project successfully, but when I try to import the exported project archive, the import fails as well.
The exported ZIP is approximately 339 MB.
The projects that fail to fork seem to be the larger/heavier ones, while smaller projects on the same account can still be forked normally.
Since this is a private company project, I can provide the Project ID privately to a PlayCanvas staff member if needed.

Thanks!

@KPal

Hi could you please add me to the project? Username: kpal

Hi KPal, Now that it’s working again, I was able to do the fork. Does this make any sense? It was giving me an error until yesterday.
