Yes, we have had some internal discussions about it. We haven’t yet scheduled the work for it though. But we do plan to support WebGPU.

WebGPU enabled by default in Chrome 102 (May 24)

As @xeffingd referred, it will be available in Chrome 102 version soon. Hope PlayCanvas is soon after the release of Chrome 102 version.

This is the root ticket of WebGl Implementation, and will be edited regularly to… keep it up to date with the work done. **Architecture overview** - graphics folder will have two subfolders created for respective implementations: `/webgl`, `/webgpu` - `GraphicsDevice` class will be platform independent, and `WebglGraphicsDevice` and `WebgpuGraphicsDevice` will extend it to implement platform specific implementations. - other graphic classes, such as VertexBuffer, IndexBuffer and similar will be split into 3 classes as well, and this is the example structure: ``` // base platform independent class class VertexBuffer { impl = null; // platform dependent data (WebglVertexBuffer or WebgpuVertexBuffer) }; ```
