When trying to download HDR Cubemap from the Asset Store, I encountered the following error:
Uncaught InvalidStateError: Failed to execute 'drawImage' on 'CanvasRenderingContext2D': The HTMLImageElement provided is in the 'broken' state.
Do you know what might be causing this?
Most likely that asset is older and hasn’t been updated for a while. @yaustar any idea if that’s something it can be fixed?
@sutobu000 in the mean time, can you try and download the source images locally and re-upload them on an empty folder? Most likely that will work.
I have confirmed that uploading from my localy and copying and pasting assets from other projects works fine.
I hope the issue with the Cubemap in the Asset Store can be fixed soon, as I use it frequently.
We are in a process of flux with the store and looking to do a revamp over the next few months.
Many of the assets are really old and have issues.
I would use maps from HDRIs • Poly Haven and create your own bank of cubemap asset converted via tools listed here: Cubemap | Learn PlayCanvas
Long term, these will be fixed in the store with new and fresher assets
I think I will handle it with that method for a while.
I’m looking forward to the renewal!
